Updated for the week of May 11 – May 17, 2026

Every week I meet with seniors, professionals, and folks who just want their technology to feel a little less intimidating. Here’s what’s on my teaching calendar right now — if any of it sparks your interest, reach out.

This week is all about prep and teaching. Two full classes, a private Zoom session, my standing volunteer day at the Culver City Senior Center — and the slides, worksheets, and step-by-step guides that make each one work.

Monday, May 11 — Continuing Education

My own professional development time. Technology never stops changing, and neither do I. Staying current is part of how I keep showing up prepared for you.

Tuesday, May 12 — Private Zoom Tech Support

One-on-one session with a client in the afternoon. Private coaching is where the deepest progress happens — we get to focus on exactly what’s frustrating you and work through it together at your pace.

Wednesday, May 13 — Culver City Senior Center (free for members)

I donate my Wednesdays to the Culver City Senior Center, where I teach two back-to-back classes:

  • 12:30 PM — iPhone Basics: Sending Money With Your Phone — last week we learned Apple Wallet and Apple Pay. This week we take the next step: paying people directly from your phone. We’ll look at Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, and Apple Cash — what each one is for, which one your family and friends are likely already using, and how to send money safely without worrying about pressing the wrong button.
  • 2:30 PM — Advanced iPad: Watching Shows With Confidence (Streaming, Part 3) — the payoff of our streaming series. By now you’ve got Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney+ all set up. This week we actually use them: finding a show, picking up where you left off, jumping between episodes and seasons, pausing and rewinding, turning closed captions on — and the two buttons (HOME and BACK) that always get you unstuck when you feel lost.

Both classes meet in person at the Culver City Senior Center. Members can sign up through the Center.

Thursday, May 14 — Secure Communication and Document Sharing, 1:00 – 2:30 PM PT (Zoom)

This week’s headline class. Sharing files and sending messages should not feel like a leap of faith. We’ll cover what “secure” actually means, the safe ways to send a document or a sensitive message, and how to spot the moments when you should slow down before you hit send. No jargon, just clear steps you can use right away. This round is full — reach out to be added to the next session’s list.

Friday, May 15 — iPhone/iPad User Group, 1:30 – 3:00 PM PT (Zoom)

Our regular iOS meetup. Bring your nagging questions, learn the “topic of the day,” and get a little hand-holding in a friendly, no-judgment room. The User Group is one of my favorite hours of the week — same group, gentle pace, real progress. This round is full — reach out to be added to the next session’s list.
